Welcome to Raptorama. Here we - and by we I mean me - discuss all things Raptors. We’ll have pre-and post-game discussion for most games - I will miss some, unfortunately, this isn’t a full-time job - and general discussion about the team and the NBA. and probably sports in general from time to time.

We’ll also have my personal opinions on various other things (especially in the offseason!) including reviews of books, movies and games, discussions about other sports, technology, current events… whatever. But first and foremost this is a Raptors Blog.

I’ve been an NBA fan since the 80s - I became a Pistons fan in 1988, when the Lakers and Pistons were playing in the Finals (since the Finals were about the only games you ever got on TV back then), and my dad was cheering for the Lakers, so naturally, I had to go opposite and cheer for the Pistons. Obviously I got on that bandwagon just in time since they went on to win the title and 1989 and 1990.

Remained a Pistons fan through the Lindsey Hunter-Allan Houston days, right up to the Grant Hill days - even had a Grant Hill jersey! - but once the Raptors came to town, my loyalties, obviously, shifted - especially when Isiah Thomas, my all-time favourite player, joined the team as VP of basketball operations!

Went to the first Raptors game ever - way, way up in the nosebleeds, with the super-cheap tickets from Shopper’s Drug Mart! Went to a few games every year, enjoyed the bad times and the good times, and consider myself proud to be a diehard Raptors fan!
